MacKenzie Mauzy
Eva

MacKenzie Mauzy (Eva): Most recently opened the Broadway production of A Tale of Two Cities as the Seamstress. She has guest starred on “Law and Order,” “Cold Case,” “CSI:NY,” and played Phoebe Forrester on CBS’s “The Bold and the Beautiful” from 2006–2008. Her favorite theatre credits include: The Flamingo Kid as Carla (Roundabout), Andrew Lippa’s A Little Princess as Sara (Theatreworks and NAMT), and Lizzie Borden (Goodspeed).  She has also performed at Symphonyspace, Joe’s Pub, and Cooper Union. Patti Murin
Kady

Patti Murin (Kady): Patti recently completed the run of Xanadu on Broadway (Euterpe/Kira u/s). Other favorite credits include Kerrigan & Lowdermilk’s The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown (Samantha Brown), Beauty and the Beast (Belle), Annie Get Your Gun (Annie Oakley), Crazy For You (Polly Baker), and every single version of David Zippel’s Princesses. She also created the role of Sharpay Evans in the professional premiere production of Disney’s High School Musical, directed by Jeff Calhoun. Patti has also appeared on “All My Children.” She is a graduate of the Syracuse University Musical Theatre program, and proud to be representing her school! She owes everything to Mom, Dad, Pam, Billy, and Kevin, the greatest fan club a girl could ask for. Her favorite role is almost–wife to Curtis Holbrook, the best fiancée in the world!

Brandon Williams

Brandon Williams (Rick) is the host of FINE LIVING Network’s “We Live Here.” He originally hails from Jonesboro, Arkansas. He now lives and performs regularly as a stand–up comic at comedy clubs in NYC. Theater credits include – Broadway National Tour: Blood Brothers; Off–Broadway: Game Show, Lone Star Love, Serenading Louis, and The Awesome ‘80s Prom. Regional: The Guthrie Theater, The Alley Theater, Fifth Ave Theater, Pittsburgh Public Theater, and American Stages. TV: “Ugly Betty,” “The Kill Point,” “Law and Order,” “Third Watch,” and has appeared several times on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien.” Brandon won the Gold Lion at Cannes in 2006 for his comedic writing.

David Nathan Perlow

David Nathan Perlow (KURT) – is a 2007 graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Past theater credits include roles at North Shore Music Theater, La Jolla Playhouse, Westchester Broadway Theater, and New York Theater Workshop. David lives in upper Manhattan with his beautiful girlfriend, Dawn, and is a proud member of Actors Equity Association. Heather Hamilton (Ensemble) is a native of Miami, Florida, and is a graduate of New World School of the Arts. A former member of Dance Theatre of Harlem, Complexions Contemporary Ballet and Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet. Heather has performed works by Ohad Naharin, George Balanchine, William Forsythe, Alonzo King, Dwight Rhoden, Jacopo Godoni, Nicolo Fonte, Doug Varone, Geoffrey Holder, Billy Wilson and many more. She has appeared on the covers of all 3 major dance magazines: POINTE, DANCE, DANCER; and can be seen in the movies “Center Stage,” “Cremaster” and “One Last Dance.”

Stacey Harris (Ensemble) has performed on Broadway in Bells Are Ringing, off–Broadway in Lone Star Love, and toured nationally with Show Boat, Cinderella, and Dreamgirls.
Favorite regional credits include Roxie in Chicago, Rose Alvarez in Bye Bye Birdie, Anita in West Side Story, Rizzo in Grease, Edythe in My One and Only, Josefine/Monica in Romance/Romance, Louise in Gypsy, Shelby in Steel Magnolias, and Anna in Syncopation. Donald Byrd
Director/Choreographer

Donald Byrd has resided as Artistic Director of the Spectrum Dance Theater in Seattle since 2002. Prior to this, Mr. Byrd was the Artistic Director of DONALD BYRD/THE GROUP, a critically acclaimed and highly regarded contemporary dance company based in New York that toured extensively, both nationally and internationally, from its inception in 1978 until its closure in 2002.

Since 1976, Donald Byrd has created over eighty works for his former company and for Spectrum Dance Theater, as well as for many major modern dance repertory companies including The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, Philadelphia Dance Company (Philadanco), Cleo Parker Robinson, and Dallas Black Dance Theater; and for classical companies including Pacific Northwest Ballet, Concordanse (Paris), MaggioDanza diFirenze, and Oregon Ballet Theater, to name a few. He is probably best know for his reworking of the Christmas classic, The Nutcracker, into The Harlem Nutcracker, which received critical acclaim and toured nationally for 5 years. Other works of note created for Donald Byrd/The Group include Prodigal (a commentary on George Balanchine’s The Prodigal Son), The Minstrel Show (Bessie winner 1992), Drastic Cuts, Bristle, Life Situations: Daydreams on Giselle, The Beast, and his evening length explorations into jazz music and contemporary dance, JazzTrain and In A Different Light: Duke Ellington. Recent projects include choreography to Motown classic hits for The Joffrey Ballet of Chicago and a work based on the paintings of Jacob Lawrence for Dayton Contemporary Dance.

Donald Byrd has also choreographed for numerous stage productions including Broadway’s THE COLOR PURPLE, for which he was nominated for a Tony Award. Additional stage choreography includes: work at INTIMAN, Seattle Children’s Theater, Center Stage in Baltimore, the New York Shakespeare Festival, La Jolla Playhouse, San Francisco Opera, and New York City Opera, as well as collaborations with the contemporary theater artists Anna Deavere, Smith Peter Sellars, and the jazz great Max Roach. Mr. Byrd has served on the faculty of the California Institute for the Arts and has taught at Wesleyan University, the School of Visual Arts, Harvard Summer Dance Center, California State University Long Beach and the University of California at Santa Cruz, and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Dance Theater Workshop in New York. For three years he served as a fellow at The Institute on the Arts and Civic Dialogue at Harvard. In 2003, he was appointed to the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs (Seattle Arts Commission) in July 2003.

Mr. Byrd studied at Tufts and Yale Universities, The Cambridge School of Ballet, the London School of Contemporary Dance, the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, and with Mia Slavenska. He has danced with Twyla Tharp, Karole Armitage, and Gus Solomons Jr. among others.New York City Swing’s Dream Team. Joe is a proud Borough Boy.

Matte O’Brien
Book Writer

Matte O’Brien is a writer and director based out of New York City. He began his theatrical career over twenty years ago as a performer. He is a member of Actor’s Equity Association and has performed Off- Broadway in New York City, on National Tours and at regional theatres across the country. As a writer, he has had numerous pieces produced around the country. His work has most recently been seen at the Syracuse Stage and Syracuse University New Works Program. His play THE MEANING OF LIFE… and Other Useless Pieces of Information made its New York City debut this summer and his show BECOMING DAVID was recently given a developmental reading starring Tony Award nominee, Lorraine Serabian. In addition to WHITE NOISE, his recent projects include a new play entitled MORNING HAS BROKEN and the recording of his first full-length rock musical score with his writing partner, Matt Vinson. He has taught classes at the New York State Theatre Institute, Young Actor’s Guild, John Robert Powers and several other institutions. He served for several seasons as the Artistic Director for the Colonie Summer Theatre and a founding member and Producing Artistic Director for Rope Swing Entertainment in New York City.

Robert & Steven Morris
Music & Lyrics, Arrangements and Musical Supervision

Identical twin brothers Robert and Steven Morris are graduates of Fordham University and Berklee College of Music. Their latest album, One Less Dream, (produced at Kenneth Babyface Edmonds’ studio in Los Angeles) is available everywhere. Songs from One Less Dream have been featured on the CW network. Robert and Steven are also constantly writing and producing music for other artists, TV, film and advertising. In addition to pop music, the brothers have had success as composer/lyricists with the new musical ONCE AROUND THE SUN. After an Off-Broadway run at the Zipper Theatre in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen, ONCE AROUND THE SUN has since been licensed for production at the Parco Theatre in Tokyo, Japan. And for a time, the Morris Brothers could be seen as the Mad Cloning Scientists on The Late Show with David Letterman. Joe Shane
Music & Lyrics, Arrangements and Musical Supervision

Joe is a New York singer/musician with extensive performance and writing credits. He toured with Madflower, a band he formed with Brad Albetta (producer for Martha Wainwright and Teddy Thompson). Their debut record “Get A Life” was produced by Steve Thompson (Blues Traveler, Guns ‘n’ Roses). He created and developed the musical ONCE AROUND THE SUN with writing partners Robert and Steven Morris. In 2005, ONCE AROUND THE SUN had a successful run at the Zipper Theater in New York City and is currently under option for production in Tokyo, Japan. With over 100 songs in his catalog, Joe has performed his original music in venues all over the country from New York (The Mercury Lounge, Irving Plaza, Arlene’s Grocery) to Los Angeles (The Whisky, The Viper Room). He has written and performed with a variety of artists, including David Spinnoza, Martha Plimpton and Daphne Rubin Vega. Joe is also the leader and musical director of New York City Swing’s Dream Team. Joe is a proud Borough Boy.

John Samorian
Musical Direction and Arrangements

John has performed in numerous productions as a conductor/keyboardist. His first job in theater was subbing on the original LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS at the Orpheum Theater in New York. He also was the associate conductor on the recent revival at the Virginia Theater, as well as the revival of SWEET CHARITY with Christina Applegate, the recent revival of GREASE, and the original Broadway productions of THE WEDDING SINGER and SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER. He has toured with Chita Rivera, the first national tour of GRAND HOTEL, THE GREAT RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL SPECTACULAR, THE FULL MONTY and DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS. John received his bachelor’s degree in Jazz education from the University of North Texas, and his Jazz Performance Masters degree from the University of South Florida. He has performed with many notable groups including Blood, Sweat and Tears as well as his own groups throughout Europe and Asia, and in every state of the Union except Alaska, Idaho, and Montana, but he’s not done yet.

Stephanie Guiland–Brown

Stephanie Brown studied at the Joffrey School, The Dance Theater of Harlem, Laguardia High School for the Performing Arts and with Madame Gabriela Taub- Darvash. She’s worked in video and toured with music groups such as PM Dawn, Monie Love, En Vogue, and Salt-n- Pepa. She’s honored to have been a member of Donald Byrd/ The Group for 10 years, as well as one of the original company members of Complexions. She has assisted in the re-staging of Mr. Byrd’s Dance at the Gym, and had the honor of restaging Mr. Byrd’s Burlesque, on the AAADT. She has served as choreographic assistant to Mr. Byrd for a work on the Cincinnati Ballet and works regularly with the Spectrum Dance Theater either as a coach or in the capacity of reconstructing old works of Mr. Byrd. She served on Broadway as the Dance Captain for Oprah Winfrey’s, THE COLOR PURPLE, as Associate Choreographer for the First National Tour of The Color Purple, and was a part of Disney’s, THE LION KING on Broadway. Since then she’s been fortunate enough to assist Mr. Byrd on Bristol Riverside Theater’s production of Shakespeare’s, WHAT YOU WILL. She has most recently rejoined the First National Tour of THE COLOR PURPLE as the Assistant Dance Captain and as an understudy for the role of “Squeak”.

Joe Drymala
Music & Lyrics

Joe Drymala and Ryan J. Davis met one another while working on Gov. Howard Dean’s 2004 presidential campaign (Drymala was the primary speechwriter, and Davis was a campaign videographer and grassroots organizer). After getting clobbered in the Iowa caucuses, they returned to New York City and began to collaborate on a number of theater and film projects. In 2006, they had their first major success with the satirical pop musical WHITE NOISE, which was written by Drymala and directed and conceived by Davis. WHITE NOISE played a sold-out run at the 2006 New York Musical Theatre Festival, and received national media attention when it was featured on ABC Primetime Live and Good Morning America. Talkin Broadway’s annual summer theater festival awards recognized the score for WHITE NOISE with a Summer Theater Festival Award. Drymala and Davis also collaborated on the story for Drymala’s feature-length screenplay AMERICAN GOSPEL, which has been optioned by Manifest Pictures and is scheduled to go into production this winter in New Orleans. Most recently, Drymala and Davis presented a concert version of their upcoming pop/hip hop musical STREET LIGHTS at the Zipper Theater, which benefited Barack Obama’s presidential campaign. Drymala and Davis have also appeared together in interviews in Radar Magazine and Broadway World. Outside of his collaboration with Davis, Drymala produces pop and hip hop music, most recently collaborating with Bronx hip hop collective Nothin Over Music. Beginning in January of 2009, Drymala will be writing regular features covering the Obama White House for renowned political magazine The Atlantic Monthly.

Ryan J. Davis
Conceived by

As a director, Ryan has developed several original shows including WHITE NOISE (NYMF ‘06), MY LIFE ON THE CRAIGSLIST (New World Stages) and the upcoming Fall musicals STREET LIGHTS (www.streetlightsthemusical.com) and VOTE! (votethemusical.com). He also directs & co-produces the annual Broadway Beauty Pageant, held each April to benefit The Ali Forney Center. As a board member of The Deconstructive Theater Project, Ryan co-directed the French Canadian play LILIES, a benefit performance held at Middle Collegiate Church. He has contributed as assistant director to Off-Broadway’s Jacques Brel... (The Zipper) and as Director’s Assistant on Broadway’s Tony Award winning Jay Johnson: The Two And Only . As a politico, Ryan recently served in NH as GOTV Triage Lead at Obama’s State Headquarters and was a member of the Obama Pride NYC Leadership Committee. He is a veteran of Gov. Jessica Lewis
Production Executive

Jessica has served in the production department for WHITE NOISE for nearly 3 years, having found the show in the 2006 New York Musical Theater Festival and working since to help foster its growth. She has worked for the executive producers of Stomp, Damn Yankees, Dinner With Friends, Nunsense, Jeffrey and Oleanna, amongst others. A graduate of Brown University with a B.A. in history and a duel minor in theatre and business, Jessica was the first student to serve as Assistant Production Manager for the Brown University Department of Theatre, Speech and Dance, managing the 2006-2006 season. She additionally served as the production manager for Brown’s annual Shakespeare Festival in 2004, having also directed and produced that season’s large production of Romeo and Juliet. She has worked at the New York Theatre Workshop, coordinating the organization’s annual summer artist retreat in New England, The New York International Fringe Festival, and the Rights and Reason’s Theater in Providence, RI. She has studied at the University of London, Oxford University under the English Shakespeare Company and with Oskar Eustis (Trinity Rep). Select managerial credits additionally include: Compleat Female Stage Beauty (Providence, RI), One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (Cheltenham, PA), the film “Assata” (New York City), Hats! and now, White Noise. Jessica has been studying and working in theater for nearly 15 years.
